Current family vehicles are - S Class Merc, Mk5 Gold GTTDI, Supra and Ford Maverick RV, very handy for towing and camping during race and show weekends.
I owned first car Austin 1800 at 15, sucesfuly removed & replaced engine along with preparing it for use when passed driving test. Since passing my driving test at 17 many vehicles have been owned and driven, but non compare with my current Supra for the shear Buzz factor
I was part of Preditor racing team, off road buggy racing. Assisted with ground floor build of tubular space frame, rear mounted Renault 5 turbo engine race machine that produced 200bhp. Unique in early 90's. The car went on to win it's national class in off road racing.
Moved away from motor sport for a few years and concentrated on playing Rugby until injury forced retirement in 2000.
After success with being Managing Director of my own company AsbesteX Ltd. Funds are now available to get back into motor sport, this time it's a Single Turbo Supra.
Purchased in August 2007 the car had been converted from a twin to single but little else had bee modified.
Over the last few months following much talk and discussion with Pete Betts at Thor Racing the car has been modified and tuned to a point were it need to be tested on the strip.
As with most forms of motor sport changes are being continualy made, discussed and designed for added performance.
It if felt the car is capable of an 11 sec run if traction can be achieved.
