wish i could Gaz , had a bit of trouble saturday , , , did 2 gentle runs , then went for it on the 3rd , good launch , 2 good changes then another good 1 into 4th , and a pipe came off my map sensor resulting in total loss of power and blowing off a couple more breather pipes , lucky really as they chucked out some oil . . . . we couldn't find the problem, well, we found 2 of them but not the important 3rd lol . . so i had to wait for sunday so my mapper (Martyn J) turned up, he sorted it then i did 2 good runs , 11.12 and 11.07 , then on my 3rd it was idling like crazy and i lost a bit of power again to a 11.6 . . i was running on fumes so that probably didn't help lol.
going down to my mapper in 2 weeks time with my new laptop and he's going to put some launch control settings on it for me , so i can change things myself . . . also after speaking to Paul Blamire and Mikee Singh (both very good impreza drivers) i have been getting some other advice ;)

that 10 is certainly just around the corner , the car is capable but is the driver :)
roll on october 18th , no saturday practice this time as it is the last round of my sprint series that i have been competing in with my golf VR6 , currently 2nd and have a good chance of winning so can't miss that . be a long weekend that will but , hopefully , all worth it :)

Sounds good to me, I'll let Jerry know.

I know a lot of people do pester the Shakespeare Staff about the Street Drag Series stuff, people don't realise that Shakespeare has nothing to do with the running of the PSDS and SDS series.

I found out at the last event its quite simple to get the PSDS current best times on the day. Quick trip up to the control tower, ask them to print the current best ran times for all SDS cars, walk to board, stick on lol.

I'm surprised that nobody who sorts this series bothers doing this on a regular basis on the day.

The team I'm with have offered to do this for people running SDS on the day, so if you would like us to sort that out please just ask, it will be a real benefit to all taking part in the SDS.

Just feels like the SDS has been pushed aside slightly over the 4, 6, 8, RWD, 4WD competitions that are also running on the drag weekends.

Rich we don't mind being pestered. It keesp the marshals on their toes. Regarding the printouts every hour, this is one of the reason's why I have asked several times on here for an appointed co-ordinator to run between the Pits and Race Control. we can do it on the hour but it does take a few minutes to dump the data from the main computer into the lap top for sorting. So, if someone does come up to collect then they will have to wait a few minutes provided Wayne is in the tower at the time as he's quite a busy bloke on the day running the event while looking after his marshals.

With regards to the PSDS taking second fiddle to the SCR Street Car Challenges isn't the case. When I do happen to post the {SDS times on the notice board the SCR Challenge times go up at the same time so its pointles both of us running to the same place on the hour every hour!

[quote="GazB"]Hi Jerry

Nice bumping into you at York

As everything went ok last weekend and I didn't manage to break the car i looking forward to this weekend event, my first of the year 8) [quote]

Like wise. I know that York isn't the perfect track but at least the guys up there are friendly enough to see anyone from different tracks and race series garce their door step. I believe that the top time came from that yellow Impreza of Steve Daley; 14.069 at 143 mph. What times did you run....

1st The yellow Impreza of Steve Daley; 10.069@143.39mph
2nd Another Impreza ran a 11.192@123.97mph
3rd A Celica GT4 ran 11.956@116.31mph
4th The it was me with 12.5236@ 111.41mph :(

Although my best time of the weekend was at 17:10 on the Monday, when with a bit of coaching from the site race crew i managed a 12.1949 @119.08mph with a miserable 60ft time of 2.0138.

So the following week when i'd changed tyre pressures, warmed the tyres better and managed to get some decent 60ft time i was running 11.6's at Shakey :D
