With just four days to go before round 4 this weekend it all seems rather quiet round here!

Couple of questions guys, do you want some dedicated PSDS parking in the middle if the pits again? It will be on a first come basis again. Also have you dominated a series representative/co-ordinator yet to oversee items on the day like class sessions, trophy presentations, and do you want three PSDS Group Sessions?

I have built this into the day twice now but no one seems to want to bother where you all run as a block rather than with others from the Public Track Day. Times have always been published on the days PSDS Timetable on the notice board, but the staging lane staff have always said that no one has come to them to co-ordinate with the other drivers. That’s where a PSDS co-ordinator comes into play. It works with the Wild Bunch and it works with the Outlaw Flat Fours too.

What else. Oh yer. Question for r33rob. Where’s the overall points listing after round three gone as I could do with a copy prior to this weekend.

See you at the strip!

Hi Jerry,

Unfortunately we don't have a non-competing co-ordinator so there is no one to organise group runs with the staging lane staff. So don't worry about setting times for gruop sessions.

An area in the pits is good though and gives competitors chance to queue up together should they wish.

Regarding checking times on the day and handing out trophies I will do it if no one else is available. But I will only do it if I can meet you in the control tower to check the results at or shortly after 1600hrs. I will also require two copies of the printed final results, one for the noticeboard and one I can use for handing out trophies.

And finally regarding the leaderboard, I have edited the post and changed the font colour from white to blue, so you can see it again (damn forum upgrade!)

Okay Rob no problem. It was just something that the other drivers were asking for in the lead up to Round 1 and I said that if we can do it then we would. However, I would seriously consider this option of an on the day co-ordinator who is not running a car as it saves on organisational problems on the day.

Checking the final timing sheets again not a problem. If I put a shout out over the pa at 4.00 pm for you to come to Race Control will that be okay. Again 2 copies not a problem. As you know we'll send you the excel spread sheets as pervious events anyway as a double check as this will come direct from the Portatree event timing computer.

Mentioning the upgrade I like it. Well done mate. Much easier to read on my tired old eyes at the moment, although my eyes did strain alittle to see the leaderboard!!! Thanks Rob. See you Sunday.

Hi Jerry

Nice bumping into you at York

As everything went ok last weekend and i didn't manage to break the car i looking forward to this weekend event, my first of the year 8)

Am i right in thinking we can arrive on friday night after 6 o'clock and camp?

It would be far better for me to get there in the evening rather than an early start on Saturday morning

Will the area for parking be marked out?

Team TBDev will be there, think we have 3 MR2's taking part on the Sunday! 8)

I know its been mentioned before, but I feel it would be a great benefit to keep a full PSDS time list updated every half hour or so.

When I was running in round 3 the times were only updated once or twice, and because I was running very low 13's I had no idea if I had gotten max points and stop, or keep running and risk dropping into 12's.

8)

Point taken Rich. I didn't see this until just now. Perhaps at the finals we'll look into doing this every hour as it does take a little time to prepare and double check the system before posting.

I know a lot of people do pester the Shakespeare Staff about the Street Drag Series stuff, people don't realise that Shakespeare has nothing to do with the running of the PSDS and SDS series.

I found out at the last event its quite simple to get the PSDS current best times on the day. Quick trip up to the control tower, ask them to print the current best ran times for all SDS cars, walk to board, stick on lol.

I'm surprised that nobody who sorts this series bothers doing this on a regular basis on the day.

The team I'm with have offered to do this for people running SDS on the day, so if you would like us to sort that out please just ask, it will be a real benefit to all taking part in the SDS.

Just feels like the SDS has been pushed aside slightly over the 4, 6, 8, RWD, 4WD competitions that are also running on the drag weekends.

Guys, results will be posted on the forum tomorrow.

Rich, sorry I missed your offer to run results from the control tower to the board. It would be great if you and others could help out on the day. I'll PM you a list of pointers for checking the results before putting them up on the board.

The Series belongs to Keith Cowie, he lives in Aberdeen though so he's not always able to attend/stay until the end. That's why a few of us chip in to help out here and there.

so the A4 paper which goes on the board outside the hut where we sign on and get our tickets comes from the tower yeah ?

if so, then i can get 1 of my 'crew' to nip up and get them once i'm staged. or every hour ish.

So close to the 10 second run Dazza, if you'd have stayed another hours, track temp stayed good and air temp dropped :)
